Bob Stone is the winningest high school football coach in the history of Mercer County.

During his 29-year tenure as head coach at Greenville High School, his teams posted a record of 222-75-7. He retired after the 2006 season after 45 years as teacher and coach.

His Trojan teams won 16 Northwest Football Conference championships and twice advanced to the PIAA Western Regional finals.

He was inducted into the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2002.

Bob began his career at St. Michael's High School, Greenville, where he played football and basketball. He played football at Thiel College from 1957-59.

Following college, he played independent softball for many years in the Greenville league and was a member of two state championship teams with Eckley's TV.

Before becoming head coach at Greenville, he was a junior high football coach for 7 years and varsity assistant for 9 years. Bob coached junior high basketball for several seasons.

He is a member of the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association and the West Penn Football Coaches Association.
