Molly was a tremendous all-around athlete, one of the finest ever produced at Lakeview High School.

She competed in track, basketball and cross country for the Lady Sailors in 1979-82 and excelled in each. In track she was a member of three straight District 10 team champions and held the school record in the 200-meter dash (25.83) that lasted until broken by Michaela Rose in 2018. She was part of two school records in the 4X400 and 4X800 relays that still stand today. She still has the 2nd fastest times in the 100 (12.5), 300 hurdles (46.73) and 400 (59.17). Her senior year was the first time girls could compete in the 300 hurdles and she was District 10 champion. Her school record stood for 27 years. Molly competed at state four straight years and earned 5 medals, tying her with fellow Mercer County Hall of Famer Ginny Wilson for most in school history, that despite suffering a hamstring pull her senior year that didn't allow her to run in the finals. She won 9 District 10 championship medals and won the 100 four straight times.

In basketball, she helped the squad to a state runner-up finish, playing with Hall of Famers Wilson and Marty Heckman, while being part of three straight D-10 title teams. She also ran cross country her senior year and helped the 1981 team to a region championship. She competed at the same time in basketball (fall season then) that year. Her coach Greg Slatcoff pointed out that at the county meet at Union City it was very snowy and she had a large lead, but got lost on the course. She had to back track, but still came in second to help the team win the meet.

Molly competed in track at the University of West Virginia, running the 400 hurdles and several relay teams. She graduated with a degree in athletic training and physical education. She went on as a trainer at the University of Miami and later taught athletic training at Ithaca College.

In 1993 she served as an athletic trainer for the USA Men's and Women's Track and Field Team in London. She is a teacher and athletic trainer at Peabody High School in Massachusetts and was inducted into the school's Hall of Fame in 2012.
