Judson Flint is the 2020 Mercer County Hall of Fame posthumous inductee.
Judson, a 1974 Farrell High graduate, was an outstanding two-sport athlete. He starred for Coach Bill Gargano's Night Riders and was one of the key players on Coach Eddie McCluskey's squad in the Steelers run to the 1974 WPIAL Championship.
After a successful career at both California University of Pennsylvania and Memphis State, he was selected in the 7th round of the 1979 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots at cornerback.
A serious knee injury curtailed his time in New England. He was released and signed by the Cleveland Browns, for whom he appeared in 38 games in his 3-year stay in Cleveland. Judson was released by the Browns in 1983 after overcoming a severe ankle injury and was signed by the Buffalo Bills for a portion of the 83 season. He played in two AFC playoff games in Cleveland, most notably in their loss to the Oakland Raiders in Cleveland in the infamous Red-Right 88 game when quarterback Brian Sipe was intercepted in the end zone by Oakland's Mike Davis as time was running out, securing the 12-10 Oakland win.
He was an active and enthusiastic member of the Cleveland Browns Alumni Organization and helped organize a golf fundraiser, arranging for the appearance of several former Browns in Mercer County.
