James C. 'Jim' Clark was one of the true outstanding student-athletes to graduate from Sharon High School. Jim was an honor student throughout his high school career and outstanding quarterback for the Tigers who posted a 21-3-1 record during his time behind the center. A three-year letterman and two-year starter at QB, he was named all-Keystone Football League quarterback and safety as the team went undefeated in the regular season in 1989. He was a two-year letterman in basketball and made all-Mercer County Athletic Conference point guard in 1989 and 1990, while honored as co-MVP of the league. His senior year he led the team to the MCAC South and District 10 Championships. Jim was first team all-county in baseball as a left-handed pitcher in 1988, and in centerfield in 1989. He was voted runner-up for league MVP. He played in three District 10 playoff games in football, two in baseball and two in basketball. His senior year he was the prestigious Conti-Pleban Award Winner.

Jim went on to a brilliant career in football at Ohio Wesleyan University. He started 40 straight games at quarterback, while posting a record of 32-8 before graduating with a degree in accounting in 1994. He held 2 school career records (total yards and TD passes) and was in the top-5 in 5 other categories.

Among his honors were: honorable mention all-NCAC in 1991 and 92; 2nd team NCAC 1993; 4-time NCAC Player of the Week; preseason All-American 1993 when he served as team captain.

In 2007, he was inducted into the OWU Athletic Hall of Fame. Two of his career records still stand.

After college he played slow-pitch and modified softball in the Shenango Valley. He has coached girls youth softball, youth baseball and football since 2010 in the Harrisburg area.
