Marion "Skip" Doutt was one of the top all-time athletes at West Middlesex where he was a "scoring machine" in basketball.

A first-team All-County performer his senior year, he played basketball from 1963-66 for the Big Reds and football from 1964-66. His senior year he set a West Middlesex school single-game scoring record when he drilled in 49 points in a victory over Commodore Perry, a game in which he made 22 field goals.

Marion led the Big Reds to the Mercer County Class B championship in 1966 by scoring 350 points (22-points-per-game average) in the regular season and also was a dominating force on the boards.

He played with the strong Sharon Hotel team in the Hoyle Tournament.

He went on to play basketball for three years at Slippery Rock University where he was a teammate of county Hall of Famer Bob Barlett. At The Rock, Marion was highly regarded for his rebounding ability.
