Tom Roskos went from one of the best all-around athletes developed at Sharpsville High School to one of the top golf long-distance drivers in the world.

At Sharpsville, he competed in basketball, baseball and golf. He was All-County in basketball in 1995 and ’96 and second in county scoring (21 ppg). MVP of the West Middlesex Kiwanis Tournament and Erme Award winner, he finished his Blue Devils hoop career with 1,141 points.

He played on the Mercer County All-Star team against Lawrence County and was named to the Hoyle Tournament All-Star team. He was a finalist in the Gus Macker Slam Dunk Contest and was on the national championship Croation Fraternal Union squad.

In baseball, Tom was All-County for four years and was 2nd all-time in stolen bases in school history.

He went on to play basketball and golf at Hiram College (1996-97) and played golf at Penn State Shenango (1998-99).

As a golf professional from 2002-2012, he competed in competition with RE/MAX World Long Drive and Long Drivers of America. He had multiple top-10 finishes and finished in the top-10 all-time on the Long Drivers money list.   He was second in driving distance on the LDA Tour in 2003. His longest ever drive in competition was 464 yards. He has had 4 aces and one albatross. He made numerous national media appearances.

He performed golf trick shots at multiple events throughout the United States, Mexico, Hong Kong and Canada.

With memberships in numerous golf associations, he is a certified instructor and was head golf pro at Oak Tree Country Club and assistant pro at several other clubs, including Avalon Lakes, Squaw Creek, Oak Tree and Sharon country clubs. He is a member of the Professional Disc Golfers Association.

Tom served as Sharpsville junior varsity basketball coach from 2001-2008 and head coach at Brookfield from 2009-12. He also coached in the Sharon and Hickory programs.

He was golf coach at Penn State Shenango for 3 years and has been president of the Sharpsville Youth Baseball program since 2021.
